The design topic for the journeyman's piece was "Mitgefangen - Mitgehangen" (Cling together, swing together!). The wardrobe and the side table, created to fit this theme, Beifang are both functional and decorative accessories and enrich the living environment. Inspiration was provided by linear, reduced steel frames, fishing nets and net-like elements.
A functional storage element is added to the wardrobe. The net catches cloths, caps, gloves and other textile accessories. They can be easily pulled out again through the meshes. Order should be fun, that's what Beifang wants to signal.
The steel plates were tempered in the kiln at temperatures between 280-310 °C, so that the steel shows a colour from purple to blue. In order to protect the surface from scratches, a layer of clear lacquer was applied.
