The two projects were created during a workshop led by Mark Braun called Wurst 2.0 (Sausage 2.0) at CIAV Meisenthal.
Gras (fr. fat)
The main ingredient and important visual feature of sausages are pieces of fat, whether coarse or fine. These were the inspiration for the Gras champagne glasses and are clearly or subtly embedded in the glass.
The Palatinate dish Saumagen is a pork stomach filled with pork and sausage meat, as well as potatoes. It is a traditional dish that is popular in the region.
The resulting vases recall the basic shape of the dish and serve as decorative pieces for tables
